Three of the 300 4Ps children passed the March 2023 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) are topnotchers.

Jacqueline E. Salvacion, LPT from Badoc, Ilocos Norte who graduated Magna Cum Laude at the Mariano Marcos State University – College of Teacher Education ranked 5 with a rating of 91.40% (Elementary Level). Both landed Top 7, Maria Olivia O. Agapay, LPT from Lingayen, Pangasinan and Marvin E. Perez, LPT from Santo Tomas, La Union earned a rating of 91.60% (Secondary Level). Marvin is a Cum Laude from the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University – Mid La Union Campus while Maria Olivia is a product of the Philippine Normal University – Manila.

From the 300 4Ps children who passed the LET, 202 are active 4Ps households while 98 are 4Ps household beneficiaries who already graduated/exited from the program. On the other hand, 226 were previously monitored children. This batch of LET Passers is composed of 48 Cum Laude and 10 Magna Cum Laude.

DSWD Field Office 1 Regional Director Marie Angela S. Gopalan takes pride in the success of the 4Ps beneficiaries as this is also a milestone of the Department. Further, she encourages all stakeholders in the Region to continue working hand-in-hand to produce more professionals and be able to rewrite the life story of more 4Ps children beneficiaries.

4Ps invests in human capital by providing cash grants to poor households upon compliance with certain conditions in health, nutrition, and education. These new professionals are concrete examples that 4Ps is making an impact not only to its beneficiaries but also to the whole nation.

The Professional Regulation Commission and the Board for Professional Teachers announced that 24,819 elementary teachers out of 60,896 examinees (40.76%) and 48,005 secondary teachers out of 102,272 examinees (46.94%) successfully passed the LET. (by: Jaesem Ryan A. Gaces, Information Officer)
