Dubbed as SINEKADA 2020, the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program celebrates its first decade of successful implementation in Region 1 through short films featuring real life stories of program beneficiaries and partner stakeholders.

There are 10 production teams that simultaneously conduct video shoots regionwide from June to July 2020 with the guidance and assistance of Pantawid Pamilya staff in coordination with the participating Local Government Units (LGUs) particularly Bugallon, Balungao, and Urbiztondo, Pangasinan; Bauang, La Union; Gregorio del Pilar and Vigan City, Ilocos Sur; Pagupud, Paoay, and Solsona, Ilocos Norte. Minimum health standards and safety protocols against COVID-19 were strictly observed by the filmmakers including the actors and actresses while conducting the video shoots.

To highlight the 10 core areas of the Program, featured stories are anchored to Partnership / Expanded Students Grants-in-Aid Program for Poverty Alleviation (ESGP-PA); LGUs / Supply Side Assessment; Civil Society Organizations; Advocacy; Modified Conditional Cash Transfer and Indigenous Peoples; Health; Nutrition; Education; Family Development Session; Youth Development Session; and Gender and Development.

Filmmakers (professional, amateur, group, or individual) were rigidly selected by a Technical Working Group. Each qualified official service provider shall receive PhP25,000.00 after submission of a 10-minute Pantawid Pamilya film and a film poster. They will also have a chance to win PhP5,000.00 for each special awards like Best Cinematography, Best Storyline, and People’s Choice Award. The official film festival filmmakers are: Coloma Entertainment Production; APT Next Productions; Luna Film Production; San Juan National High School Productions; Agtutubo Film Production; Mr. Marvin Apilado (individual); Sherwil Ryge Productions; T2 Productions; and HCA Productions.
