“Iburay tayo dagiti istoriatayo ti balligi nga agbalin nga inspirasyon ti sabali ken dagiti sumarsaruno a benepisyario tapno sumayaat met ti panagbiagda. Dakayo ti inda pagsarmingan (Let us share your success stories that they may inspire others and potential beneficiaries to improve their quality of life. You are their examples),” said Municipal Mayor Priscilla M. Martin as she challenged the 43 household beneficiaries (26 exiting households and 17 graduating households) who culminated their engagement with Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program as beneficiaries during the first graduation ceremony in La Union. She accepted the graduates as she offered the programs and services of the local government unit geared towards achieving their desired progress.
The graduates were endorsed to the local government unit by DSWD Field Office 1 Regional Director Marcelo Nicomedes J. Castillo represented by Specialized Programs Division OIC-Chief Virginia P. Sesay.
Municipal Vice Mayor Jose B. Basallo uttered “Mamatiak a sumayaat ti panagbiagtayo nu isagana tayo a nasayaat ti masakbayan dagiti annaktayo. Nu narang-ay ti ili, narang-ay met ti probinsya. Awan sabali a paggapuan ti rang-ay nu saan nga ti uneg iti pamilia (I believe that our life will get better if we prepare well the future of our children. If our town is progressive, then the province will be progressive as well. Development comes from nowhere else but within the family).”
The exiting and graduating household beneficiaries were identified by the case managers anchored on Republic Act No. 11310 or 4Ps Act. Graduating households have reached self-sufficiency level who voluntarily waived from the program. A household shall exit from the program when they meet any of these criteria: the last monitored child turns 19 years old and finishes high school; reaches 7-year duration in the program; no longer poor based on Listahanan result; voluntarily waives from the program; and commits offenses leading to delisting.
