The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 1 (DSWD FO1) in partnership with SM Foundation shared joy to Pantawid Pamilya children in Bugallon, Pangasinan. SM Foundation through DSWD FO1 handed in new toys to 78 girls and 86 boys from 21 barangays of the said municipality.

Bugallon, Pangasinan was hardly hit by Typhoon Lando last year which was primarily the basis for SM Foundation to assist in the psychosocial restoration of these children.

According to Regional Program Coordinator Rosalyn L. Descallar, for due recognition, the said municipality also attained the highest education compliance rate in Day Care, Kindergarten, and Grade 1 from January to October 2015 as one of the conditionalities of Pantawid Pamilya.

DSWD FO1 and SM Foundation continue their joint venture in reaching out to the needy and be an instrument of hope and encouragement to others in the spirit of public service. (by: Jaesem Ryan A. Gaces, Information Officer II/Pantawid Pamilya)
