“This is no longer a dream, it is now a reality. We are glad to have you as one of the citizens of Rosales, Pangasinan. It is also our dream for DSWD Field Office 1 to bring the government closer to the people. Not only because you are a public servant but most of all, you being a Christian should serve your fellowmen,” shared Hon. Conrado M. Estrella III in his message during the soft-inauguration of the Php70 million Social Welfare Multi-Purpose Building.
The construction of the three-storey Social Welfare Multi-Purpose building was made possible through the generous lot donation of Hon. Estralla III with a total land area of 2,500 square meters and was also funded by the initiative of the honorable’s ABONO Party-List. The said project has a total floor area of 1,840 square meters which is projected to house 250 employees. It is also PWD friendly as it is equipped with service elevators and ramps and spacious outdoor and indoor waiting areas.
DSWD Secretary Rolando Joselito D. Bautista graced the event and expressed his warmest heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Estrella III as he graced the soft-inauguration. “The impact of this will immensely be felt by our vulnerable and marginalized constituents with the building’s client-friendly facilities that will surely lead to the mirroring of a more prompt and compassionate service,” Sec. Bautista uttered.
According to DSWD Field Office 1 Regional Director Marie Angela S. Gopalan, “This soft-inauguration is a milestone event since we will have our future regional office here in Pangasinan.” This paves the way in enabling the DSWD Field Office 1 to deliver its mandate to the poor, marginalized, and disadvantaged population.
The Phase 1 of the said project has already completed while its Phase 2 is 55% finished. It is expected to be completed until December 2022 including its Phase 3 in partnership with the Department of Public Works and Highways Pangasinan 3rd District Engineering Office.
