As part of the DSWD’s 69th Anniversary celebration with the theme “Social Integration: DSWD’s Major Thrust in line with the Philippine Development Plan 2017-2022,” DSWD Field Office 1 conducted Tree Planting and Clean-up Drive Activity at Bonuan-Boquig, Dagupan City. Staff and beneficiaries planted a total of 385 mangrove propagules at the Longos River, Pangasinan. The Department pledged to plant 6,900 trees across the country as part of the Anniversary Community Advocacy Week.

More than 20 bags of trash were collected during the Coastal Clean-up Drive Activity to promote a clean, healthy, and sustainable coastal environment. “Ang activity natin na Tree planting at Coastal Clean-up Drive ay pakikiisa ng DSWD Field Office 1 sa national celebration ng 69th DSWD Anniversary. Sa pamamagitan po nito, maipapakita natin sa mga tao sa ating paligid na tayo po ay hindi lamang nagmamalasakit sa ating kapwa, tayo din po ay may malasakit sa ating kalikasan (The tree planting and coastal clean-up drive activity of DSWD Field Office 1 is in support with the national celebration of 69th DSWD Anniversary.
