The Department of Social Welfare and Development – Field Office 1 (DSWD-FO1) through the Disaster Response Assistance and Management Section (DReAMS) partakes in the conduct of the third quarter “Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill” in relation to the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC) Memorandum No. 95 series of 2017.
The DReAMS leads the coordination and execution of the earthquake drill with the help of the Administration Unit in designating the exit routes of each rooms to be followed by the DSWD employees.
“Part kasi iyon(designated routes) ng awareness ng mga kasamahan natin para at least alam na nila iyong gagawin nila in times of disaster na magkakaroon tayo ng earthquake talaga. Alam na nila kung saan iyong mga exit points (Designated routes is part of the awareness of our fellow DSWD employees so that they will know what to do and where to go in case earthquake strikes)”, said DReAMS Social Welfare Officer I Ryleen G. Gadong.
A post activity evaluation of the earthquake drill in DSWD-FO1 will be submitted by DReAMS to the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) for proper reporting and documentation. (by: Jaymante Pearl B. Apilado, Administrative Assistant III, NHTS-PR/Listahanan)
