Aiming to gather Pantawid Pamilya stories of positive change, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) launched the “Kaya Ko ang Pagbabago” Campaign official social networking sites.

An information and empowerment campaign, the Kaya Ko ang Pagbabago aims to communicate the “pagbabago” due to the Department’s programs and services especially the Pantawid Pamilya beneficiaries.

In its launching, DSWD FO1 Regional Director Marcelo Nicomedes J. Castillo encouraged everyone, especially the media, to support the said endeavor to inform the public of these changes and continuously provide beneficiaries their rights as claimholders and citizens of the society.

In response, Mr. Romy Acosta of the Weekly Banat, being previously against the program, said that he is 100% supportive of the campaign after seeing the impact of the program to beneficiaries who have been involved in gambling activities and have changed for the better.

As one of the program advocates, La Union’s exemplary child winner Jasmine Ollero was also invited to share her story and the change she can do. “Kaya kong maging mabuting anak at makatapos ng pag- aaral para makatulong sa aking mga magulang (I can be a good daughter, finish my studies and eventually help my parents).”

The said stories of change can be shared on Facebook (KayaKoPH) and Twitter (@KayaKoPH). Sharing can be through anecdotes, statements, blogs, videos,  and photos reflecting positive changes brought about by Pantawid Pamilya to the beneficiaries. (by: ALLAN O.
