Aimed at creating demand from beneficiaries and stakeholders for government support of the age coverage expansion of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program beneficiaries, the Kaya Ko campaign was recently launched simultaneously in the four provinces.

As previously announced by the President during his State of the Nation Address (SONA), the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program will be expanding its age coverage from 0 – 14 to 0 – 18. This is a move to provide better opportunities to children-beneficiaries in the future.

The said expansion is a good news to beneficiaries who were originally set to graduate after five years. However, this move is yet to be realized without its budget being approved.

Parent Leaders, beneficiaries, CSOs, media and other stakeholders provided commitment for the said endeavour. This is to create clamour from beneficiaries and inform the positive changes the program has made into the beneficiaries lives.

DSWD- FO1 Regional Director Marcelo Nicomedes J. Castillo recognized the continuous interest and support of the Department’s partners to Pantawid Pamilya and those who have helped out share their efforts in promoting the better effects the program has done to its claimholders.

Moreover, the Regional Director encouraged everyone to support the program’s actual implementation and help advocate the goals of the expansion to provide best welfare for the poor particularly the children who deserve best education and health privileges for their own future.

Pantawid Pamilya is a conditional cash transfer program of the Philippine government which invests in human capital through health and education by providing cash grants to extremely poor households with children ages 0 – 14 years old (by: Allan O. Lulu / Information Officer II, Pantawid Pamilya).
