I. Program Overview
Supplementary Feeding Programis the provision of food in addition to the regular meals to children currently enrolled in the Child Development Centers (CDCs) as part of the DSWD’s contribution to the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) program of the government.
II. Projects/Services/Activities/Modalities
Food supplementation is in the form of hot meals and dry rations being served during break/snack time in the morning session or during break/snack time in the afternoon session to children minimum of five (5) and maximum of seven (7) days for 120 days. This provide augmentation support for the feeding program of children using indigenous foods and/or locally produced foods equivalent to 1/3 of Recommended Energy and Nutrient Intake (RENI) to improve and sustain the nutritional status of the targeted children beneficiaries. It also improves knowledge, attitude and practices of children, parents and caregivers through intensified nutrition and health education. Children beneficiaries are weighed at the start of the feeding period and three months thereafter. After the completion of 120 feeding days, the improvement and sustenance in the nutritional status of the beneficiaries will be determined.
III. Target Beneficiaries
• 2-4 year-old children in Supervised Neighborhood Play;
• 3-4 year-old children enrolled in Child Development Centers; and
• 5 year-old children not enrolled in DepEd preschool but enrolled in Child Development Centers
IV. Eligibility Requirements
Covers all of the children enrolled in Child Development Centers (CDCs) and Supervised Neighborhood Play (SNP) groups.

- Project Proposal endorsed by the Local Chief Executive (LCE)
- Complete Masterlist of Beneficiaries
- Original signed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA)
- Baseline and Endline Nutritional Status Report
