DAGUPAN CITY, PANGASINAN | The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 1 (DSWD FO 1) has swiftly mobilized to extend its service to the six (6) affected families with 15 individuals who recently lost their homes due to an unattended lighted candle.

The fire broke out on 22 April 2024 causing widespread damage and displacing families from their homes resulting in three (3) totally damaged and three (3) partially damaged houses.

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Dagupan City, Pangasinan initially provided food packs, hygiene kits, and sleeping kits to the affected families, however, the City Social Welfare and Development Office assessed that there is still a need for additional assistance resulting in a request of augmentation to DSWD FO 1.
