The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 1 (DSWD FO 1), as the lead agency for the Food and Non-Food Item (FNFI) sub-cluster in the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and  Management Council 1 (RDRRMC 1), is at the forefront of distributing Family Food Packs (FFPs) to those affected population by the recent Super Typhoon “Carina” and Habagat in Region 1.

To date, DSWD FO 1 has distributed 46,298 FNFIs, valued at PhP36,263,911.01, to the affected local government units (LGUs) in the region. This substantial aid is part of a larger initiative to address the needs of families affected by recent disasters.

As of the latest report, the number of affected families has grown to 112,579, encompassing a total of 419,638 individuals needing assistance. To keep up with the demand, DSWD FO 1 staff and volunteers from the RDRRMC 1 member-agencies are on continuous 24/7 duty to ensure timely and efficient delivery of FFPs to the requesting LGUs.
